The greatest trust that can come to a man and woman is the placing in their keeping the life of a little child”

We're finalized!

Today I just feel joy and such happiness to be able to say that I'm McKay's Mom. I have been his mom this whole time and I sure love my little boy but I'm now legally his mother! what a joyous thing that is!

We went to court yesterday and finalized our adoption! that means we are now legally his parents.
The whole experience was something new and also amazing! I've actually never been to court before [that's okay by me!] and so it was something different for me.
To finalize means that we went before a judge, answered questions and said that we wanted to be his parents. We signed a paper which the judge also signed and then we were done! such a simple action for such a big meaning.
I'm so happy and very much looking forward to raising this precious little boy!
Heavenly Father has truly blessed us!Us with our judge. After she signed the papers she said that she was coming down to hold that baby! which she did! she was a very nice judge. :)

Happy to say, here's our little family!

All our family that came to support us!

Here's my favorite little boy in the world!

Adoption is amazing and I'm so glad and grateful that we get to be a part of it. It has been such a blessing to me and I'm proud to say that my son is adopted. I never truly knew much about adoption and I'm glad that Heavenly Father lead us in this direction and what a miracle it all is. We absolutely love our birth mother and her selfless sacrifice. She has changed our lives forever.

Man I haven't been on here for awhile. I do want to try to be better. You know, that whole resolutions thing that at least for my sake I give up a week later. Here's goes for now though :)

Christmas was so much fun and to have McKay here has added so much to it! Even though he didn't unwrap much [he had a lot of help] he loved the bows and shiny things. In fact I think I'll miss Christmas even. The tree was his favorite and looking at the lights would get him to stop crying always. I'll miss the tree. :)
He liked the ribbon and paper a lot!

Now that the holidays are over we are looking forward to our finalizing the adoption! We can't wait for that day to come! All this paperwork really is coming to an end! It's been such a long process but one that I would do all over again every day if I had to! It's been sooooo worth it!
[for those of you who don't know, finalizing means we go to court, answer questions before a judge and just make it official on paper!]

Along with finalizing that means we can be sealed together as a family in the temple and also have his baby blessing done. We are so looking forward to what this year is bringing us! it's starting out great!

This is the face I wake up to everyday! He is always super happy to see you when he first wakes up! I cherish being a mother and having this wonderful little guy as a son! it's seriously better then I imagined!

McKay has started rolling over a lot and scootches [is that a word? no? I'm using it anyways!] backwards around the room. It's pretty funny!

2011 was such a blessing to us. We have had the best year! Looking forward to what 2012 brings us!
